Please help us convince GO riders that next Monday’s election is crucial If they care about climate breakdown. "Vote as if your life depends on it, because it does!"

Tuesday October 15 meet Acton GO trains (Eastern Avenue) arriving at 6:50 pm and 7:07 pm. We’ll be there a few minutes early with our banner, signs and handouts. Let's show riders we're here and we care!

Wednesday October 16 meet Georgetown GO trains (off King Street) arriving at 4:42, 5:15 and 5:45 pm. Please join us to meet even one train. The more of us, the stronger the message.

And our final rally this year, a parade through the Georgetown mall next Saturday the 19th at 3 pm. Meet in the parking lot beside (not in front of) Walmart.

Greta Thunberg realized at a young age the lapse in what several climate experts were saying and in the actions that were being taken in society. The difference was so drastic in her opinion that she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Halton Hills Students To Walkout This Friday For Climate Change

May 1, 2019 - On this Friday, May the 3rd at 12pm, students from schools in Halton Hills and students from around the world will protest climate change by either walking out from class or not attending school. 

There are as of right now (Wednesday, May 1st 2:29am) a total of 3563 (registered) future strikes around the world and 200 strikes in Canada planned, with some happening monthly and/or weekly.  Link to Acton UP article


Georgetown rally demands action on climate change

May 3, 2019 - “Climate change is not a lie. Do not let our planet die!” was the battle cry heard across Dominion Gardens Park Friday afternoon as local children, adults and politicians gathered to raise awareness about the dire state of the natural environment. May 4, 2019 - This Friday, May 3rd, 2019, students from Halton Hills and around the world gathered to protest climate change and governments lack of action on the matter. 'Climate change is real' — Halton Hills council declares climate change emergency 

May 7, 2019 - On Monday night the Halton Hills Council chamber was packed as Jane Fogal presented her resolution to declare a Climate Emergency here, with very specific actions the Town will take. It passed unanimously to hearty applause. Link to Independent and Free Press Article


Second climate action rally coming to Georgetown park

May 23, 2019 - Another rally calling for action on climate change will take place on Friday (May 24) in Georgetown. The event, organized by the Halton Hills Climate Action team, will run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Dominion Gardens Park. Organizers expect even larger crowds than last time, when close to 200 attended. Link to Independent and Free Press Article


Halton Hills residents rally again for climate change action

May 29, 2019 - Halton Hills is continuing its call for action on climate change. A second rally was held on May 24, when about 100 local adults, children and politicians converged once again on Georgetown’s Dominion Gardens Park armed with signs and ready to march. Wellington-Halton Hills MP Michael Chong was in attendance this time and promised to take the group’s message back to his counterparts in Ottawa. Link to Independent and Free Press article

Halton Hills hosts its second Climate Rally.
